Caring Neighbourhood Program

The Caring Neighbourhood Program is made up of a group of volunteers who extend friendship
and support to people who are isolated from their community as a result of age related issues.

The Caring Neighbourhood Program covers the council area of Victor Harbor.
Each day a volunteer from the Caring Neighbourhood Program helps someone in the local community.
The Council provides the infrastructure and co-funds the program with Commonwealth Home Support funding.
The program is facilitated by staff who visit the clients to ascertain their needs
and manage the valuable team of volunteers.
